Skilled nurse instructed the patient and caregiver on the importance of completing all ordered laboratory work as directed and attending all scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure timely evaluation and management of gastrointestinal concerns. Patient and caregiver were informed that a follow-up appointment with the gastroenterology specialist is scheduled in approximately one month to review laboratory results and determine the next steps in the plan of care.

Skilled nurse advised the patient to follow up with the cardiologist prior to the next gastroenterology appointment, as cardiac evaluation and clearance are necessary to support safe and coordinated care. Skilled nurse also educated the patient and caregiver regarding the MRCP (Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography) referral, including its purpose in further evaluating the biliary and pancreatic systems and the anticipated timing of completion approximately three months following the gastroenterology follow-up visit.
